Some people will tell you that the internet casino changes the settings on the machines for weekends and holidays so the machines don’t pay as much. This is rubbish. They cannot change the chip without the knowledge of the free online bingo gaming Commission. Every second of time and every serial number have to be accounted for in reports. They don’t change the programming chip.
This is Part 3 of the article regarding the fallacies about slot machines. One of the biggest fallacies is that the bingo games staff knows when a machine will and won’t payout. They can’t predict a random outcome any better than the rest of us can. Somebody could sit there and watch the machine all day and all night, recording every outcome and they still would not be able to predict when a winner will occur. Random means that there is no way of predicting.
Another common misconception is that the use of a slot card or credit card affects the payout. This isn’t true either. The machine just knows it has credits or an account number. That doesn’t affect the software that controls the simulation. The simulation is triggered by pulling the slot handle or pushing the Spin button. The outcome has nothing to do with how the player paid for the spin or if he has a slot card.
By understanding a little of how a slot machine functions, it is easy to see why misconceptions are misconceptions. Random outcomes are random outcomes. |
